The soccer leagues began bracket play just before Thanksgiving break. The Scorch Muffins and Team Elisium took the top seeds in the Challenge bracket. These two teams look to compete for the title on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Graves gym. On the Power side, the Ninjas and the Thundercats grabbed the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. The Power Championship game will follow the Challenge game at 3 p.m. in Graves gym.

Basketball began its bracket play this Monday. This year, teams have been restricted to only having players able to compete at one level. This has created a more level playing field for the Challenge league which has already seen some upsets. Eight Equals ‘D’ (8-1) and Team Swiftinators (8-1) tied for the best record in the regular season in the Challenge league and received top seeds. Team OG Grandaddy ran the table in the Power basketball league going 7-0, beating every Power team. They look to repeat this feat and bring home an Intramural Championship on Sunday when the Power Championship will be played at 10 p.m. in the Fieldhouse followed by the Challenge game at 11 p.m. Both of these games will be played following the women’s League Championship at 9 p.m. NA-NA-NA Divas has already earned itself a spot in that game.

All three divisions of volleyball have started their playoff schedule as well this week. Teams Kajjahalt and Farmville! both enter the postseason undefeated in the Challenge division. Teams Microwaveable Beavers, We’re Kind of a Big Deal and Safe Sets tied for first in the regular season in chapow with 5-1 records. In the Power league two teams remained undefeated, with team 4 and Sets on the Beach each finishing 5-0 this season. The volleyball championships will be played in the Fieldhouse on Sunday with power kicking things off at 9 p.m. followed by chapow at 10 p.m. and challenge at 11p.m.

All in all, it will be a weekend of great excitement surrounding Whitworth Intramurals. Be sure to come out and support your favorite teams as they look to bring home the fabled intramural champion t-shirts.
