Freshman Kyle Scott is going into the soccer Power league championship game with a slice of confidence.

“We (the Straight Thugz) will beat the Average Joes on Monday, I guarantee it,” Scott said.

The Thugz and Joes will go head-to-head out for the final time Monday, Nov. 12 for the Power League championship. The two sides split the regular season, winning one game each in two very close matches.

“We’ve played hard all season.”  Joes junior John Ellings said. “And we hope to do the same on Monday.”

The key to the match will likely be the play of each teams' girls.  The Thugz second leading scorer all season has been freshman Emily Linn, while the Joes have rallied behind their star goalie, junior Maggie Smith.

Both teams seem confident going into the final game where the all freshmen Thugz will attempt to win their first championship against a veteran Joes team.  The game will be in Graves Gym on Monday, Nov. 12, at 10 p.m.
