In the Challenge League Thursday night, the winless Promiscuous Pinecones broke into the winner's circle as they defeated previously unbeaten Team Wooksack 6-3.

The 'Cones took a 3-0 lead at halftime and went up 5-0 before Team Wooksack, a team comprised of Warren Hall boys, could get any points on the board. Daniel Kaufman, a freshman for the Promiscuous Pinecones, scored five goals on the night. Kaufman credited his teammates for the win.

"I got put into great scoring positions by my teammates, all I had to do was finish the play off," Kaufman said.

"We felt we couldn't get enough shots off and when we had a good luck their goalie was always there," Ben Price said, a player for Team Wooksack. Kaufman echoed this sentiment.

"We have awesome goalkeeping which allows us to take risks on offense," Kaufman said.

Team Wooksack will face The Brothers Grimm on Oct. 9.

The Pinecones take on Ling Ling on Oct. 9 as well.
