OFF-CAMPUS REPRESENTATIVE:

Angela Anegon

Angela Anegon

Year: Junior
Major: Biology

Who are you?
I am an outgoingly shy person. Also, I am fairly gullible and I like to laugh even when it isn't appropriate. That pretty much sums me up.

What do you do and why is it important?
Off-campus living is the biggest community on/off campus so it is important that they get ample representation. Most of what I do involves helping out the off-campus senator and planning events for the off-campus constituents. I also represent the off-campus folk in ASWU meetings and on committees.

What main issues or ideas do you hope to focus on while you serve on ASWU?
I want to focus in on service and creating programs that are both fun and charitable. Service to the community should be first and foremost.

What is at least one common misconception about your work or ASWU?
I don't really know of any misconceptions. I think students should take advantage of the fact that they are welcome to sit in on ASWU meetings so that if they do have any qualms with ASWU, they can go right to the source.

What is important for students to know about your work?
It is important for students (and mostly off-campus) that I am at their service. Whether it is a complaint, a question about an event, or an idea for an event, I am more than open to hear them. That sort of communication and responsiveness makes my job more exciting and worthwhile.
