    In memoriam: Lee Stover

    Friends and family members of Lee Stover, a 2008 Whitworth graduate, are mourning his recent and unexpected death. Stover died in late February. On Wednesday, March 3, a memorial service honoring the life of Stover was held on campus. Opening the service President Bill Robinson said, “We will be celebrating his life and grieving his loss. Mostly we will be celebrating the power of the resurrection, and the hope we, as followers of Christ have in it.” Full story

    Review: 'Is He Dead?'

    Generally, when you go to a play, the audience may laugh a little during the show and then clap at the end, but there isn’t much feedback from the audience until the play is over. However, it’s a different story with “Is He Dead?” the current play being performed by the Whitworth Theatre Department. It opened Friday, March 5. Full story

    OPINION: Studying in the clutter

    COMMENTARY: My room looks like a dragon’s lair. Except instead of a pile of golden, twinkling treasure, there are mounds of clothing, newspapers, textbooks and various foodstuffs. My bed is hardly visible, and there are shoulder-high piles of papers on my desk. The walls are covered with an assortment of posters, records, stuffed otters and other odds and ends. I keep my door open to try to be friendly, but mothers hide their children and tour guides rush pre-frosh past as soon as they catch sight of the room. Believe it or not, these conditions are a good thing. Full story
