Freshman Ben Everett of Stewart took first place after a cheer-off from the crowd and a nod from the judges. He received the large trophy awarded to Mr. Whitworth and the fame that goes with the title.
With six conference titles and four runner-up finishes this school year, the Whitworth Pirates won the NWC's most prestigious athletics trophy, the 2008 McIlroy-Lewis All-Sports Trophy, in recognition of athletic excellence.
Whitworth is set to spend more than $4 million on renovations, construction and maintenance for both current and summer projects. Projects include a new temporary parking lot, installation of new windows in Arend Hall, renovations of Westminster Hall and the Shalom Community Center, installing a new pool filtration system, expanding the track shed and resurfacing the gym floor in the Fieldhouse.

The rides and the midway say "Relax, relax, you're in Arles and they're coming, they're coming!"
